A season of thanksgiving…

As we enter this season of thanksgiving, we look forward to sharing  testimonials of God’s supernatural and practical work in the lives of individual hearts and in the communities where we serve. God does indeed dwell among the contrite and lowly of heart. He empowers us to share the good news and care for the widow, orphan, prisoner and the poor.  In our thanksgiving posts we will offer you proof that God is still at work in the small and grand scheme for His glory. We hope that you can join us in giving thanks for the marvelous things He has done.

We’re thankful for student leaders, like Penny Smith who since she was 14 years, has returned every summer to serve with us in Kenya.  You can see the energy and enthusiasm that exudes from Penny as she shares the gospel through song and story in the classrooms we visit. We’re thankful to see the energy and love God gives this young woman to serve Him in her country of origin. God is faithful to directs our steps and He gives us great joy as we serve Him.

We are always eager to return to school children who greet us with song and celebration. These children have so much less materially than the majority who live in the US, but they give resounding proof that God gives them a joy that runneth over in spite of their circumstances. You can see it on their faces as they sing for us in this photo. The soloist shown in the photo below is unashamed and bold for the Lord.   We are thankful for this testimony of God’s faithfulness to bring strength and joy to His children across the world.
